一位資深教育工作者之教師生涯的個案研究

摘要


本研究旨在探討一位國小教師生涯發展與相關因素之影響,研究者以立意取樣方式,選取屏東縣一位教學年資長達36年、曾獲師鐸獎之教師為研究對象,並透過質性研究中的訪談與敘說方式,深入了解個案教師的生命故事,並獲得以下結論: 1.個案之教師生涯發展主要可分為「生涯初探」、「生涯穩定」、「開始試驗與行 動階段」、「熱切成長」、「撤退階段」五個階段,而「保守主義」階段短暫。 2.影響個案教師生涯發展的相關因素包括個人環境、組織環境等,個人環境包 括原生家庭生活、個人特質、教學專業與信念、教養子女經驗等;在組織境 方面包括教育信念、教學專業與熱忱、師生關係、學校組織風氣等。 3.教師的個人特質會影響教學職涯的發展、職前教育的經驗則影響出個案對理想教 師的圖像。 4.挫折因應與復原是決定生涯發展的關鍵,本身對工作的熱愛,則是個案面對挫折 的復原力之重要泉源。 5.教師的人生觀與價值觀開展正向的教學理念。當教師將教學視為一份終身志 業並凡事以學生為重,心中有愛,真心為學生付出、著想,便能夠不厭其煩 地、持續地做下去、從中獲得充實感與成就感。 本研究依據所得結果,提出相關建議供政府、師資培育單位、學校行政參考。 關鍵字:資深教育工作者、教師生涯發展、生命故事、個案研究

The researcher employed purposive sampling and selected a teacher with 36-year experience, who had won the Teaching Excellence Award. The study gained a profound understanding of the subject's life stories by means of interviews and narratives in qualitative research, and arrives at the following conclusions: 1. The subject's career development can be divided into five phases, including "early career", "stable career","commencement of experiments and actions","eagerness of growth" and "withdrawal",、while the "conservatism" phase is transient. 2. The relevant factors affecting the teacher subject's career development encompass personal environment and organizational environment. Specifically, the personal environment includes original family life, personal qualities, teaching profession and beliefs as well as parenting experience, while the organizational environment includes educational beliefs, teaching profession and paassion, teacher-student relationship and school atmosphere. 3. Teachers' personal qualities will affect their teaching career, while experience in pre-sewice education will form an ideal image of teachers. 4. Setback response and recovery are key determinants of career development, while the passion for the work is a pivotal recovery source for the subject to face setbacks. 5. The teachers' outlook on life and values convey positive teaching philosophy. When the teachers can regard teaching as a lifelong career, attach great importance to students and sincerely make efforts and think for students, they can patiently and continuously devote themselves to teaching, from which they reap a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. Based on the results, this study proposes suggestions to the govemlnent based on the results and serves as a reference for teacher education institutions and school administration.
