環境荷爾蒙(Environmental hormone)中的壬基苯酚(technical-nonylphenol, t-NP)與辛基苯酚(4-octylphenol,4-OP)為已知會誘發生物體氧化壓力之物質之一。現今多數清潔產品中皆含有壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇(NPnEO)與辛基苯酚聚乙氧基醇(OPnEO),當排入承受水體後有可能因微生物分解代謝為壬基苯酚(Nonylphenol)及辛基苯酚(Octylphenol),因使用量相當可觀,故可於人們日常生活環境中普遍檢出。本研究評估長期暴露於t-NP與4-OP中大鼠脂肪、肝臟、腎臟、心臟、肺臟、腦、睪丸及血液中之組織殘留量,並監測飼養環境中飼料、飲用水瓶浸出液是否遭受汙染且針對鼠體生化數值進行評估。本研究結果顯示,鼠體體重與組織重量於各實驗組皆無顯著差異。10與20週實驗組動物組織中皆可檢出t-NP與4-OP之量,10與20週實驗組以4-OP 檢出率最高均為100 %,其10週t-NP 檢出率為71.4%,20週則為85.7%,於兩組實驗週期的鼠體之腎臟與心臟均未檢測出t-NP之含量,t-NP與4-OP濃度分別介於n.d.~1.91及0.09~3.96 μg/kg。10與20週實驗組血液中,10週暴露t-NP之檢出率為50.0%,4-OP則為40.0%,則20週實驗組t-NP檢出率為60.0%,4-OP則為100%。而t-NP與4-OP檢出濃度分別介於n.d.~4.69及n.d.~1.89 μg/L。此外,本次研究所使用之飼料及飲用水瓶t-NP及4-OP檢測值皆小於偵測極限,顯示本次實驗食物來源與飲用水皆未受汙染,亦不會造成鼠體NP及OP之交叉污染。
When most cleaning consumer products, containing nonylphenol polyethoxylates (NPnEO) and octylphenol polyethoxylates (OPnEO) are discharged from various effluents into receiving waters, they break into nonylphenol and octylphenol through different pathways in the aquatic environment. In addition, nonylphenol (technical-nonylphenol, t-NP) and octylphenol (4-octylphenol, 4-OP) are widely known to induce the oxidative stress in organisms and also known as environmental hormones. In this study, the assessment of the t-NP and 4-OP residues in adipose, liver, kidney, heart, lungs, brain, testis, and serum in rats after long-term exposure were conducted. The possibilities of the cross-contamination of test compounds from feed, seeping water from water bottle were also tested. The evaluation of the biochemical data of exposed rats was conducted to determine the relationship with the residues of t-NP and 4-OP. The results showed that the body weight was not significantly different in treated and control groups. t-NP and 4-OP were detected in all tissues in 10- and 20-weeks of treatment groups and the 100% detection was shown in 4-OP. The detection rates of t-NP in 10- and 20-week treatment groups in tissues were 71.4 %and 85.7%, respectively, with the exception in kidney and heart. The concentrations of t-NP and 4-OP ranged from no detection to1.91 and 0.09 to3.96 μg/kg. As for t-NP and 4-OP in serum, the detection rate of 10-weeks t-NP and 4-OP were 50.0% and 40.0%, 60% and 100% for the t-NP and 4-OP in the 20-week treatment. The concentrations of t-NP and 4-OP ranged from non detection to 4.69 μg/L and from no detection to 1.89 μg/L in serum. In addition, the results showed the concentrations in feed and seeping water from water bottle were all under the detection limit, suggesting no cross-contamination.
