推廣兒童閱讀活動之研究-以台中市一間私立兒童圖書館為例

摘要


本主旨在探討私立兒童圖書館的發展歷程、經營現況和活動推廣 情形。除了同時瞭解活動推廣之困難及解決方法、義工及家長對活動 舉辦的看法和期許及推廣活動的成效和建議。 本研究以小大繪本館為其個案,分別選取六位受訪者,進行了正 式訪談、觀察、非正式訪談。並輔以文獻探討及資料收集和編碼,研 究者詮釋後將研究結果呈現如下: 1.小大繪本館主要以親子共讀為主要信念,以繪本為館藏,其經營型 態:包含(1)親子讀書會、(2)走入社區說故事。 2.非營利組織的小大繪本館在組織型態、創辦精神及宗旨、館內特色 、資金、社區資源、硬體設備、館內服務營造出良好的經營現況。 3.小大繪本館自主性的組織運作使活動的策畫更其多元性,其中親子 讀書會及主題作家展等活動頗受到肯定,而陪伴孩子持續共讀,是 參與活動的最大涵義。 4.推廣活動的困難反應在推廣方法、經費及人力不足和理念不合因素 上,可採取對觀念確立、硬體汰舊換新、人力擴充及向外推廣。 5.受訪者普遍對兒童閱讀活動都表示贊同,認為繪本演奏可提供親子 共讀時說故事的傳遞方式,並期望推廣閱讀要政府與民間一起配合 。 6.小大繪本館提倡快樂的閱讀,透過親子共讀讓閱讀成為孩子生活的 一部分。 本研究分別針對小大繪本館的義工、家長、政府和未來研究者, 提出相關建議,以及供國內圖書館推廣兒童閱讀活動之參考。

The main purpose of this study is to explore the develop ment history, operation performance, and program promotion in the private children’s libraries. In addition to under standing the challenges and solutions of program promotion, this study discusses the opinions and expectations of volunteers and parents concerning the activities, as well as the effects and comments of program promotion.This study adopted in-depth interviews with six interviewees respective ly from the Little Big Picture Book Library. Formal interviews, observation, and informal interviews, as well as literature review, data collection and encoding were conducted. The results are as follows: 1. Little Big Picture Book Library is based on the principle of parent-child reading, and collects a variety of picture books. Its operation includes (1) parent-child reading group; (2) story-telling programs in communities. 2. It is a non-profit organization which has shown excellence performances in terms of organization type, founding spirit and objectives, features, funding, community resources, hardware, and services. 3. The operation of the autonomous organization can make the activities more diverse. Among all, the parent-child reading group and the exhibition of themed authors are highly affirmed, while accompanying the children in reading is the key meaning behind joining the activity. 4. The challenges to promoting related activities include promotion schemes, lack of budget and assistance, and the conflict of ideology. They might be improved by clearly identifying the idea, upgrading the facilities, expanding the staff, and broadening the promotion. 5. The interviewees generally appreciate the children’s reading activities and regard reading with music-playing as a way of delivering story during parent-child reading. The public sector and the private sector could cooperate to promote reading. 6. Little Big Picture Book Library promotes happy reading which makes reading a part of children’s life via parents’participation. This research provides related suggestions for volunteers, parents, the government, and future studies, and serves as a reference to promote children’s reading in domestic libraries.
