品質是企業的生命,如何推行有效的品質活動以提昇企業的競爭優勢是非常重要的。「全面品質經營 (TQM)」、「ISO 9000品質管理系統驗證」與「六標準差(Six Sigma)活動」為目前廣為企業推行之品質活動,但有關這些品質活動之研究以個別之研究為多,而且有關它們共同實行之成效的實證研究並不多,故本研究將這些品質活動之實施與競爭優勢間的關係予以結合,形成單一的研究架構進行探討。 本研究依據相關文獻找出衡量TQM之實行程度要素計有6項、衡量ISO 9000品質管理系統實行程度要素計有6項、衡量六標準差活動實行程度要素計有6項,以及衡量企業競爭優勢指標計6項。實證研究對象為國內500家企業,以問卷進行調查,實證資料利用結構方程式模型探討實施TQM、ISO 9000、六標準差與競爭優勢的影響。研究結果證實推行TQM、ISO 9000與六標準差活動均可提昇企業競爭優勢。

English Abstract

While the competition in the business world is getting keener, product of a good quality gradually becomes the most sophisticated weapon used by competitors. Implementing the TQM, ISO 9000 certification and Six Sigma (6) program are common quality activities in the business. There has been an increasing implementation of practices associated with TQM, ISO 9000, and Six Sigma programs. However, most of the studies on TQM, ISO 9000 and Six Sigma programs investigate these programs separately and only a few studies provide the empirical examination of the joint implementation of TQM, ISO 9000, and Six Sigma program. Therefore, this study seeks to examine these management practices with a integrative framework by combining the relationships among them. Based on literature review, this research proposed six indicator variables for measuring the implementation of TQM, six indicator variables for measuring the implementation of ISO 9000, six indicator variables for measuring the implementation of Six Sigma program, and 6 indicator variables for measuring competitive advantage. The subjects of this research are the 500 manufacturers in Taiwan. After data collected by questionnaires, This study conduct confirmatory factor analysis by using SPSS 12 for Windows and AMOS 4. The result shows that the TQM, ISO 9000, and Six Sigma program all have a significant impact on competitive advantages.
