Department of Business and Management, Shu-Te University Examining The Factors Affect To User Satisfaction Of Core Banking In Vietnam Banking Industry: Case Study In Techcombank Student: Le Chi Thanh Adviser: Dr. Ming-Hsiung Hsiao Co-adviser: Dr. Le Thi Minh Hang ABSTRACT Joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) and global economic integration have made Vietnam's economy becomes more dynamic and competitive. Especially in the banking sector, with support from the World Bank (WB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other reputable credit institutions helped Vietnam banking industry have quickly integration and development. Along that supports, the banks in Vietnam have strategic development for their own, they are always looking for innovation and competitive advantage to survive and sustainable development within their bank. Today, information technology platform has been recognized and created more advantages for the humanity development. In banking sector, core banking system (CBS) is considered the heart of each bank (Crosman, 2013). Therefore, to promote all the strengths of this system will enable banks have a competitive advantage for themselves. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affect to user satisfaction of CBS in Vietnam banking industry: Case study in Techcombank. By checking the factors of an information system (IS) success includes: Information Quality, System Quality, and Service Quality and answers the questions: what are the factors affect to User Satisfaction?, how do they affect to User Satisfaction?, do users feel satisfied with CBS?, and what is the suggestion for IT managements to improve their internal customer on using CBS and increase competitive edge in baking sector?. The findings and suggestions will help the IT managers, IT managements who have worked for Vietnam banking industry desire to ii improve the user satisfaction on this systems and help their bank create a competitive advantage. It also provided a theoretically framework about core banking system in Vietnam to whom are interested in this field in Vietnam.
