翻譯理論的發展與省思－以台灣地區為例

摘要

庫恩(Thomas Kuhn)提出“範式”(Paradigm)對於一門學術的重要性。理論則是建立範式的重要因素。因此本文反省翻譯理論在台灣地區的發展情形。首先分別翻譯實踐與翻譯理論的關係，然後檢視翻譯理論在台灣的演變，並根據一項調查資料，呈現目前翻譯理論在台灣傳播的情況。最後，討論目前翻譯理論發展的新趨勢，以及建立獨立學門的可能性。

Thomas Kuhn pointed out the importance of theory for establishing paradigms in a academic community. This article sets as its aim to examine the evolution of translation theories in Taiwan. After a discerning of translation theory from translation practice, the author describes the evolution of translation theories in Taiwan. From an questionnaire we can see the actual situation of translation theory distributed in Taiwan. As conclusion the author compares two main trends of translation theory today and discusses the possibility of establishing an independent disciplinary of translation.
