Chinese Abstract

近年來有關智慧結構在結構控制上的應用受到密切注意。光纖體積小、重量輕又柔軟,能在不同的環境下量測各種的物理量。因此極適合使用於智慧結構系統。本文使用兩種單模態麥克森式光纖感測器於複合層板振動的量測。實驗結果顯示,用光纖感測器所量測的信號來驅動埋於複合層版中的壓電致動器可以有效地抑制結構振動。

English Abstract

Optical fibers are small, light weight, and flexible that can operate over a wide range of environmental conditions and respond to many physical properties. This paper presents two single mode Michelson interferometric optical fiber sensors for the application of vibration control in smart structures. Experiments are conducted by feedbacking the sensor signal to the piezoelectric actuator embedded inside the smart structure to suppress vibration. The results show that both optical fiber sensors-one with external fiber optic modulator and the other with internal frequency modulated light source-are effective in vibration control application.
