文化驅動力-從“文化價值”的觀點評析大學藝文中心的生成與發展

Driving Force of Culture-A Review on Formation and Development of a University Art Center from the Perspective of Cultural Value

摘要


大學校園的文化生活常決定大學的風格,一個擁有豐富校園記憶與意義的文化活動,對於校園文化的發展是深刻而重要的。然而大學校園中設立「藝文中心」,對整個校園文化的發展,具有何價值?面對國內各大學紛紛設置藝文中心現象,是否誠如D. Throsby所言是一種文化驅動力?據此背景,本文研究目的爲:(1)從「文化價值」的觀點剖析大學藝文中心的文化特徵;(2)探討大學藝文中心的文化價值可運用何種方式進行評析;(3)從個案資料中建構大學藝文中心創造校園文化的核心內涵。並採用「文獻分析」和「個案研究」法進行,最後歸納以下結論:(1)大學藝文中心於大學校園中可以創造美學、精神、社會、歷史、象徵、真實等文化特徵;(2)大學藝文中心的文化價值可運用「條件評價法」和「文化資本」兩種觀點進行分析;(3)大學藝文中心建構校園文化價值的核心內涵包括物質、制度、心理等三種文化。

The cultural life on campus determines the style of a university. A cultural activity with rich school memories and meanings is profound and significant for development of campus culture. However, what values do the art centers that are established in universities one after another have for the overall development of campus culture? Is this phenomenon the so-called a driving force of culture like D. Throsby said? Accordingly, the purposes of this research are: (1) to analyze the cultural characteristics of university art centers from the aspect of cultural value, (2) to explore the approach that can be applied to review and analyze the cultural values of university art centers, and (3) to locate the core elements used by university art centers to create campus culture from cases. Literature review and case study methods will be adopted in this research. Final conclusions are summarized as follows: (1) university art centers may create cultural characteristics like aesthetic, spiritual, social, historical, symbolic and authentic values, (2) cultural values of university art centers can be analyzed by contingent valuation method and cultural capital, and (3) the three core elements that university art centers use to construct campus cultural values include material, system and mental.
