English Abstract

Due to the advancement of technology, many operations require the assistance of computers, thus Visual Display Terminal (VDT) is a crucial part of business operation. However, since the content of operation is highly repetitive, given long time operation, operators often need to face multiple injuries caused by VDT operation. This study reviewed musculoskeletal disorder and visual fatigue problems related to VDT operation, discussed the causes of various problems using VDT workstation as the basis, and provided related preventive guidelines. This guideline can be used as indices for VDT operation, and prevent losses caused by injuries due to VDT.
