Design of a Novel Dual-Slit Planar Antenna for Multiband Operation

摘要


A novel dual-slit planar antenna for multiband operation is presented. The proposed antenna consists of three parts which are radiation patch, slope right triangle ground plane and feed microstrip line. The WiMAX(3.3-3.8GHz) and WLAN(5.15-5.85GHz) band can be achieved by embedded two different shape slit in radiation patch to change current path length. Furthermore, tuning slope of right triangle ground plane can increase the impedance bandwidth. The measured return loss S11<-10dB operation band are 1.56-2.02GHz/3.12-3.87GHz and 5.12-5.86GHz, respectively, the peak gain of antenna is 1.3dBi, radiation pattern in all operation bands are omnidirectional. The proposed antenna has many advantages, such as compact, stable gain and simple structure, and satisfied the demand of the GPS、DCS、PCS、WiMAX and WLAN multiband wireless communication system.
