本文使用1984-2001年收集上市上櫃的財務和參與科專計畫等資料,共收集7560筆廠商年度(firm-year)資料,依照一般文獻的做法,分別使用單一方程式迴歸估計及聯立方程式兩階段估計法,並且使用Tobit模型及Negative Binomial模型來探討在不同領域的科專計畫下,參與科專計畫廠商與其研發支出間的關係。 本文的主要發現如下: 1•中小企業參與科專計畫的程度及研發支出密集度較大企業的小。 2•不同產業的中小企業在參與科專計畫的程度及研發支出密集度上 的表現皆不相同。 3•在單一方程式迴歸結果發現廠商參與科專計畫和其研發支出間具 有因果關係,但在二階段迴歸結果卻發現這兩者並不具有完全的因果關係。
In this thesis, 7,560 firm-year observations about firm’s financial information and the information of firms participated in S&T projects are collected from TEJ database and MOEA respectively. According to the literature, we used single-equation regression and simultaneous equations regression with Tobit model and Negative Binomial model discussing the relationship between the intensity of participation of S&T projects and firm’s R&D expenditure. The main findings of this thesis: (1)Both the intensity of participation of S&T projects and firm’s R&D expenditure of SMEs are smaller than that of large enterprises. (2)Both the intensity of participation of S&T projects and firm’s R&D expenditure of SMEs within different industries are not indentical. (3)There exists the causality correlation between the intensity of participation of S&T projects and firm’s R&D expenditure in single-equation regression but it does not exist under the introduction of simultaneous equations regression.
