台灣數位音樂產業未來意向之研究

A Study on Intention of Digital Musical Industry in Taiwan

摘要


音樂數位化後,數位的音樂在網路上快速的散佈,音樂數位化也讓複製品與正版之間幾乎相同,儘管各種調查對於數位音樂產業的未來發展普遍看好,但令研究者產生興趣的是,過去網路音樂與音樂產業的關係在這幾年間變化由完全否定彼此到今日的合作關係,產業界也從過去幾年的悲觀,到蘋果以其軟硬體所經營的數位音樂產業中,似乎又重新燃起希望;目前全球的音樂產業也面臨同樣的問題,音樂產業中的實體唱片部份持續萎縮,而新興的數位音樂產業則開始成長,這種即競爭又合作的關係形成未來學中所提及的弔詭,也就是描繪衝突與合作的現象,也因此數位音樂產業的發展意向呈現出多元的可能性。 本研究旨在探討台灣數位音樂產業的未來意向,其偏向探索性質,因此並不刻意將數位音樂的未來意向歸類為某一種型態,質化研究的特點之一正符合這個目的,即界定未預期的現象及影響,並歸納新的理論,而本研究資料蒐集方法,採用深度訪談法,並以半結構式的問卷對受訪者進行訪談及錄音;資料處理則利用紮根理論,在「前瞭解」的知識基礎之下,進行編碼、觀念歸類和理論涵義的建立。而編碼過程則使用「研究者三角定描法」進行操作。而文章撰寫的思考模式,則是以未來學的相關理論輔助。 本研究之發現為音樂數位化後,對於其產業的組織結構、經營模式、主導性關係的改變,以及台灣在發展數位音樂產業過程中的所面臨的隱憂與機會,經由研究分析後,以未來學的觀點思考,提出台灣數位音樂產業之未來意向。

In recent decade, digital music has rapidly been distributed over the internet after the digitalization of music industry, which is able to make the replica nearly the same as the original edition. Although many researches are optimistic about the future development of digital music industry, what makes researchers find interesting is the following situation: the relationship between the online music and music industry has changed from antagonistic (in the past) to cooperative (at present) over these few years. Besides, the attitude of music industry towards the future has changed as well. In the past few years, people involved in the industry are pessimistic about the future; however, hope is aroused again after APPLE applies its hardware and software to the management of digital music industry. Nowadays, the music industry around the world also faces the same problems: the sales of CD (in physical form) keep recessing year by year; in contrast, the burgeoning digital music industry starts to grow rapidly. From the futurology point of view, a paradox exists owing to the fact that their relationship is both conflicting and cooperative. And therefore, it is possible that the intention of future development of the digital music industry could be diversified. This research aims at discussing the future intention of digital music industry of Taiwan and the nature of this research is prone to be explorative; therefore, the future intention of digital music industry is not classified into any specific form intentionally. Qualitative research method is adopted because one of the characteristics of this method conforms to the purpose of the research, which is to determine the unexpected phenomenon and influences and also to develop new theories through generalization. The data collection of this research is through in-depth interview and also interviewing and recording the interviewees by some quasi-structured questionnaires. And the methodology of this research is based on grounded theory: the process of encoding, categorization of different concepts and also the establishment of the implication of theory are carried out under the foundation of the “pre-requisite” knowledge. Besides, the way of thinking of writing this paper is assisted by the relevant theories of futurology. This research finds out that after the digitalization of the music industry, there are critical changes in the organizational structure, mode of operation and also the predominant relationship of the industry. Besides, this research explores the opportunity and crisis that faced by the digital music industry of Taiwan. After summarizing all the analysis and researches above, this research has proposed the future intention of digital music industry of Taiwan from the futurology viewpoints.
