臺灣大學圖書館與淡江大學覺生紀念圖書館推動學科服務之比較

摘要


近年來國內外的大學圖書館越來越重視學科服務的發展,不少大學圖書館開始要求圖書館員要主動尋求機會發展跨部門的關係和增加與系所的聯絡頻率。強調學科館員要走出圖書館,去拜訪他們的使用者。參加學術部門和大學委員會的會議,到他們的辦公室拜訪導師,在圖書館外設立辦事處提供辦公時間等等。要花更多的時間深入到各部門系所(Carrye & Arlene,2011),真正融入到大學中作為一個整體。而國內的大學圖書館也慢慢開始重視起來,像是台灣大學圖書館在2013 正式成立學科服務組,將學科服務獨立出來,台灣師範大學圖書館等也設立了學科館員。學科服務並不是一個新的觀念,而是因為隨著時代的變化,對大學圖書館而言學科服務的相關概念變得越來越重要,成為大學圖書館創新服務 一面新的發展方向。 目前國內發展學科服務的態度大致上分成兩種,一種是明確制定學科服務組的單位與學科館員來提供學科服務,另一種則是雖然沒有設立學科單位與職稱但是本身提供許多的服務項目都與學科服務有關。而淡江大學的覺生紀念圖書館,並沒有成立所謂的學科服務組或是學科館員的職稱,但是研究者從淡江圖書館所提供的服務之中,發現有許多的服務項目都與學科服務有關,也就是說雖然淡江圖書館沒有專門使用學科服務這一個詞彙,但是卻有提供部分學科服務的項目。 因此研究者想要探討這兩種類型的大學圖書館在提供學科服務的時候,在學科服務的內容與深度上有以及館員在提供學科服務時的認知與態度上有怎麼樣的差別,研究者希望能透過訪談台大圖書館的學科服務組與淡江圖書館的參考服務組的館員來了解到兩者的異同,作為淡江圖書館未來進行學科服務推動的建議與參考。

In recent years, more and more emphasis on foreign university library service development disciplines,Many university libraries began requiring librarians to take the initiative to seek opportunities to develop cross-sector relationships and increase the frequency of contact with the Department. To emphasize the subject librarian out of the library, to visit their users. College Board meetings and academic sectors, to visit their office supervisor, set up offices outside the library to provide office hours and so on. Let the library into the university as a whole. While domestic university libraries also slowly began to pay attention to it, such as National Taiwan University Library was established in 2013 subject service group, service discipline independent, Taiwan Normal University Library, also set up subject librarian. Subject service is not a new idea, but because of the changing times, the university library in terms of concepts related disciplines and services is becoming increasingly important, as to become one new direction University and Creative Library Service. At present the attitude of the development of domestic subject service in general is divided into two kinds. One is the National Taiwan University Library as an example,Clearly develop disciplinary service groups and subject librarians to provide Subject Service.another Although it is not have establishment of academic units and titles, but itself provides many subject services. Therefore, the researchers want to explore the two types of university libraries in the provision of disciplinary services in the subject of the content and depth of service, and librarians in the provision of disciplinary services on how the perception iv and attitude of the difference, Researchers hope to learn the similarities and differences between the subject service group of National Taiwan University Library and the reference service group of Tamkang University Chueh Sheng Memorial Library, which will serve as a suggestion and reference for future development of academic service of Tamkang Library.
