再生能源桌遊對九年級學生學習成效與決策歷程之研究

摘要


遊戲式學習在近年廣泛應用於多個學科中,桌上遊戲在台灣的行之有年,與現今的科技遊戲相比,桌遊除了擁有遊戲式學習的優點,其特色更在於玩家能夠面對面直接接觸,互動性提高且上手速度較快,不需要太多技巧便能學會。因此近幾年,越來越多教育者將桌遊融入於教學中,並讓學生在遊戲過程中學會合作學習、解學問題能力、創造力與社交能力等目標。因此,在本研究中研究者自行設計一款桌遊「Fight for renewable energy」,將再生能源的知識與概念融入桌上遊戲中,並探討桌上遊戲融入再生能源知識對學習成效之影響,以及學生在桌遊過程中的決策歷程及影響其決策的因素。 本研究採個案研究法,研究對象為九年級學生,遊戲過程將學生分為3組,每組4人,總計12位學生。當學生進行桌遊時,透過觀察遊戲過程記錄學生在做決策時所受的影響以及考慮的事件,遊戲結束後利用訪談及質化分析等方式歸納學生決策的過程。研究工具研究者自行設計之桌上遊戲、觀察、訪談記錄表,並在教學前後實施再生能源學習成效測驗,評量學生學習前後的成效、決策歷程與其影響學生決策的因素。 經由學習成效前、後測蒐集之資料以 SPSS 軟體進行成對樣本t檢定分析,並分析訪談結果與蒐集的文件資料後,研究結果如下: 一、桌遊融入再生能源知識與概念,在學習成效的提升具有顯著效果。 二、學生在桌遊的決策歷程分為獨立典型、傾向合作型與多方考量型。 三、學生在再生能源桌遊中影響其決策歷程的因素,依重要順序依序為決策時所     面臨的環境、決策者的個人因素、能源發電廠的發電量、能源發電廠的價錢、     土地的自然條件、偏好的能源發電廠種類與季節變化。又從中發現,當學生     面臨環境與利益的選擇時,大部分的學生會以環境為優先考量。 三、學生對於「Fight for Renewable Energy」桌遊遊戲設計感到相當滿意,同意程度相當高並 能從遊戲過程中學習到再生能源知識。

In recent years, game-based learning has been widely used in many subjects. The advantages of board games are application of game-based learning, face-to-face interaction between players, and high learning efficiency without any complex skill sets. Therefore, more educators incorporate board games into their classrooms, to help students learn collaboration skills, problem solving, creativity, and social skills. In this study, a new board game, ‘Fight for Renewable Energy’ wass designed to help middle school students to learn knowledge of renewable energy.The purpose of the study is to explore the effects of students’ use of the board game and to identify the factors influencing their decision-making process. This study adopted the case study method. The study participants were 12 ninth-grade high school students; for the game process, they were divided into 3 groups. The students were observed while playing the board game to record the impact factors in their decision-making process. Qualitative data analysis methods were used to summarize students’ decision-making. Based on the study’s data collection and analysis, the results are summarized as follows: 1. Students’ knowedge test results weresignificantly improved after playing the board game. 2. Students’ decision-making process in the board game was divided into three types: independ type, tendency-cooperation type and multiple-consideration type. 3. During the board game, the factors affecting students’ decision-making process, aligned with priority, included decision-making scenarios, the decision makers’ individual consideration, the power plant’s generating capacity, the price of the power plant, the natural conditions of the land, preferences for type of energy plant and seasonal changes. In addition, this study found that when facing conflicts between environment and material benefits, most students gave high priority to environment. 4. After all, students were highly satisfied with the design of the ‘Fight for Renewable Energy’ board game.
