台灣LED照明市場之優劣勢分析 -以A公司為例

A Strategies and Competitive Advantages Study for Taiwan’s LED Lighting -The Case Study for A Company

摘要


LED-發光二極體(Light Emitting Diode, LED)在1950年代末於實驗室發展出來,1968年HP開始商業化量產,1992年Nichia突破藍光LED技術障礙後,逐漸衍生出多重色彩,亮度也大幅提高,並以顯示器(Display)、表面黏著型(SMD)等各種封裝型態深入生活中各個層面。傳統燈泡在2009年在歐盟陸續被禁售,2012年完全禁售,同時也開啟完全LED照明的市場。LED照明具備了效能、光源、壽命、省電..等各種優勢,更符合環保的條件,LED的研發是台灣的強項,產量也是高居世界第一,將LED運用於照明上,更能發揮其效用,產值僅次於日本。目前我國LED產業架構非常完善,整體競爭力陸續逐漸提升,未來在全球LED產業上,將會扮演著舉足輕重的角色。本研究藉由LED產業的分析及個案的競爭優勢及營運模式策略之解析,探討如何在全球LED產業強力競爭之環境下生存,並握有競爭的優勢規劃出營運的策略方向,順應環境快速演變並及時策略,以屹立於競爭激流中而不動搖。經由本研究之探討,歸納結論如下: (1) 國內LED照明產業技術的優勢。 (2) 藉由SWOT分析來探討個案並提出因應策略。 (3) 提供建議給LED想關產業做為建立競爭優勢及擬定策略方向參考,以提高產業競爭優勢。

Taiwan LED industry, which ranks world number two in term of revenue only second to Japan, and number one in term of quantity, plays a central role in Taiwan industry. Replacing CCFL backlight module, LED backlight technology has gradually being adopted for LCD TV since 2009. South Korean TV brand giants such as Samsung and LG group, taking advantage of technology transformation, expanded LED investments in large scale and became strong competitors of Taiwan LED industry in a year or two. On the other hand, along with the fast growing of China market, hundreds of Chinese state-owned enterprises pumped in capitals and joined the competition. At risk of core-technology spilling-over to Chinese competitors, in 2010, Taiwanese LED chip manufacturers, packing houses, and LED module companies commenced a large scale of investment and establishes numbers of new facilities in China either by joint-venturing with Chinese counterparts or by own capital. Researcher, with secondary data/materials and interviewing experts from different segments of LED solid-state lighting industry, adopted the case study methodology and applied the tools of Porter’s Five-Force scheme, SWOT analysis, and value chain analysis etc, to investigate the structure, behaviors and strategies of Taiwan LED Solid-Slate Lighting Industry. This research concluded that Taiwan LED lighting industry enterprises prone to being as economic scale manufacturing mindset, own-branding is not in the priority of industry leaders, at least not at this moment.
