無機聚合物添加紅黏土材料之性能研究

摘要


紅黏土為製作紅土磚之主要材料,目前國內紅磚用量漸減,而飛灰則為燃煤發電之廢棄物,若能一方面提升紅黏土之應用契機,另一方面加入廢棄物回收再利用之理念,將有利於永續環保之推動。本研究採用無機聚合物,嘗試以直接添加紅黏土,及以飛灰置換變高嶺土膠結紅黏土等方面探討其力學性能。實驗研究首先以純無機聚合物添加紅黏土或粗砂細骨材,及以不同比例之飛灰置換原無機聚合物配比中之變高嶺土等三項實驗做為基本對照組。其後則以飛灰置換變高嶺土之無機聚合物再添加紅黏土或粗砂進行實驗探討。實驗結果顯示添加紅黏土與置換飛灰皆有影響工作度的問題,其抗壓強度雖無法達到原配比者,但已超過國家一級磚標準。成本降低本來就必須承擔相當的代價,本研究發現部分替代無機聚合物原配比材料,其力學性能並未大幅降低,且多半尚屬穩定,對環境永續發展可有相當之貢獻。

Red clay is the major material used for manufacturing bricks, and the requirement was reducing in the resent age. Fly ash is a by-product of generating electricity of burning coal. If there is a way on one hand may increase the chance of using red clay, and on the other hand can enhance the idea of reusing waste materials, it would help in pushing environmental protection. The present research was fulfilled at first added red clay or coarse sand into the original formula geopolymer to test its mechanical properties. Meanwhile, fly ash was used to partially substitute metakaolin in geopolymer to conducted the similar tests. The resulting data of these three sets of experiment were used as contrasts for the later works. Then red clay or coarse sand was added to the geopolymer with fly ash replace metakaolin. During the process of making these specimens, it was found that somehow the workability may be a key point. The compressive strength of the said specimen may not be as good as the one of pure geopolymer, but they did exceed the requirement of Class-I brick of national standard. Reducing the cost would always have to pay the price. It is found that the mechanical properties of the newly formulated geopolymer would not reduce drastically but perform steadily. It would indeed contribute to the everlasting development of the environment.
