蜂巢紙結構強度特性比一般的瓦楞紙更具有發展優勢。目前國內尚未有由產品設計觀點切入的蜂巢紙研究。本研究藉由文獻探討與田野調查,探討蜂巢紙的材料性質,並進行實驗,分析蜂巢紙多變的構造形式、伸展變化及光學特性等。最後,運用蜂巢紙材料特性,以不同的構造形式及伸展變化進行DIY燈具設計,包括:吊燈、立燈與壁燈。各項設計打樣後予以展示,邀請設計專業人士參觀並接受訪談,最後針對各項檢討意見改善設計。 蜂巢紙材應用於燈具設計,由於具有多變的構造形式、伸展變化與輕量等特性,可充份區隔傳統燈飾市場,也符合DIY產品之要件。結論包括:(1)蜂巢紙孔徑與紙張層數是基本的結構要素,結構之徑向厚度則決定燈罩之造形與結構強度;(2)蜂巢紙材之紙張磅數明顯地影響燈光效果,也強烈地影響燈罩的結構強度並決定燈罩的體積極限。
The idea of using recycled paper to make new useful products is commended as good sustainable practice. Recycled paper is also used for manufacture of hardboard, one of which is made use of concealed hexagonal structure of door panel. Furthermore, the cardboard filled in hexagonal structured paper gets more rigidness than the plastic panel filled in curved plastic layer. However, there isn’t till now any processed design work by using hexagonal structured paper. The motivation of this study is to make use of hexagonal structured paper for innovation of D.I.Y. lighting product design. The first process of this study is to analyse the feature of hexagonal structured paper through field research and refered documents. The second is to conceive D.I.Y. lighting product design by developping its features such as lightness, transluscence, as well as variety of its modeling shape. Through the procedure of manufacture and experimental operation, two conclusions are described: (1) Lighting shape of hexagonal structured paper principally decided by structure layers and radial thickness. laiser cutting area and shape proportion. (2) Paper thickness has strong influence upon lighting effect and shape extension of hexagonal structured.
