Cancer cause of death in Taiwan citizens has been always high, and it is also the main issue of concern for the Taiwan government. Some scholars investigate the association of cancer and other diseases, such as the relationship of diabetes and cancer, as well as that of urticaria and cancer. And some researchers use statistical methods to describe the correlation between disease and other disease. The preliminary study of this paper is to explore the relationship between skin disease and cancer, and propose to use the quantitative index to describe skin diseases and cancer, i.e. related co-morbidity combinations. And then with a set of predefined threshold, we filter out co-morbidity combinations of diseases and finally obtain the possible co-morbidity combinations. Literature reviewing is adopted to verify the usefulness of quantitative index. Through literature reviewing, the comorbidity combinations could be divided into known disease combinations and unknown disease combinations. The dataset used in this paper is National Health Insurance Database from 2000 to 2002. According to this study finding, the possible potential comorbidity combinations are virus warts with breast cancer, as well as erythema squamous skin diseases with colorectal cancer.
