Evaluation of Effectiveness of Test Program Down-Load in Notebook Computer Manufacturing Process

摘要

我國的筆記型電腦產業已位居全球第一的寶座，在許多產業外移、甚至西進大陸的情況下，如何持續維持廠商在生產彈性與生產效能的優勢，將攸關產業未來的發展。
今以某一國內筆記型電腦大廠為例，針對以不同的媒介物進行測試程式下載所需時間來加以比較，並對於不同的下載模式進行分析與評估，以求取最佳的成效。
經本研究就個案公司現有裝置與設備之來進行實驗與分析，可將結論歸納為三點：
1.測試程式下載模式採用『由伺服器下載』者，平均下載所需時間
較使用『由 CD 光碟片拷貝至 HDD』者所需時間節省約28%。
2.『使用伺服器下載測試程式，並將部分測試項目（6項，即”無需
測試治具”的項目）移至「TPDL站」進行』者，較『於生產線
（輸送帶）上使用由CD光碟片拷貝至機台HDD』者，其所需使用之
生產線長度與人力為精簡－生產線長度可縮短約39%，人力則可節
省約27%。
3. 若是『採用伺服器來下載測試程式，並將「非感官檢知」的測試
項目（有11項）移至「TPDL站」來進行』者，其所需生產線長度
以及人力將較採用『於生產線（輸送帶）上使用由CD光碟片拷貝
至機台HDD』者，則可分別節省約52%與47%，將更有效地降低生產
成本。

The thesis has chosen one of top Taiwan Notebook Computer manufacturer as case study. The study purpose will be
1.the time comparison for test program installation or
download via different media
2.analysis and evaluation for different test program
installation or download models
Base on using manufacturer existent equipments in experiment，the below three items will be the conclusion：
1. The average time for “test program download from
server” will be faster by 28% of the average time for
“test program installation via CD disc”.
2. The model of “test program download from server and
adding 6 test items（free of test fixture）at this
station” will save 39% production line length and 27%
manpower than “test program installation via CD disc”.
3. The model of “test program download from server and
adding 11 test items（undetected by sense organs）at
this station” will save 52% production line length and
47% manpower than “test program installation via CD
disc”.
