電子產品所使用的液晶面板,如手機、PDA、筆記型電腦持續朝「輕,薄」的技術世代發展。由整個光電產業的趨勢,可以清楚的了解LCD面板裝置在消費性電子產品上的重要性。本研究透過個案研究分析方式可對面板輕,薄發展核心技術趨勢做一定程度的瞭解與探討,其對LCD面板有一定程度的參考與運用,以能進一步達成下述之研究目的: 1.使用個案研究法方式進行產業技術發展趨勢,以提供我國面板大廠對於面板輕薄化之研製與技術導入為核心發展及規劃。 2.分析面板廠商之核心技術,如何因應薄型化技術開發之兩難,也即薄型化的Cell面板玻璃相當脆弱,同時薄化之後的相關零組件,也會對一些特性產生影響。由於客戶對強度的要求仍然相當高,但是要有一定的厚度,特性才會好,致使研發陷入兩難,如何達到目標。成為各面板大廠核心技術。
In this study, a light/thin liquid crystal display (LCD) are used to investigate the corresponding fabrication characteristics. Starting from the survey the requirements of hyper-compact and super-slim LCD devices like cellular phones, PDAs and notebook PCs. By case study methodology, it had been investigated how a light/thin LCD practice with the development core techniques which had been designed in the panel. The development core techniques are: (1) Backlight module lighting; (2) Cell glass thinning. The study also focuses on core techniques to reflect current tends in manufacturing engineering. Finally this paper points out the glass thinning is based on etching chemical to enhance the fabrication characteristics.
