臺灣現代詩中的廢墟詩境——以商禽、羅門、林燿德為例

Ruins Poetic Conception of Taiwan Modern Poetry──Take Shang Qin, Lo Men,and Lin Yao-De’s Poems as the Discussion Subjects

摘要


現代主義文學與後現代文學是相應於現代社會發展、現代生活樣貌轉變而產生,它必然折射了現代與後現代的種種面貌,它並不單純表現現代社會的科技便利、物質發達,它亦頗多折射的是整個社會環境的冰冷、人情的枯竭,乃至現代人的心靈空虛與衰敗,而這些也都可在臺灣現代與後現代詩裡看到。 德籍藝文評論家班雅明(Walter Benjamin,1892-1940)在說明保羅.克利(Paul Klee, 1879-1940)的畫作《新天使》(Angelus Novus,1920)時,指出這個「新天使」當面對著世界的「進步」無可抵擋,也只有看著整個世界不斷地「廢墟化」,它預示出這個十九世紀迄今科技文明大躍進的世代,一個無法再逆轉的趨勢:一個發展迅速、卻也同時正快速走向廢墟的世界。本文以藝術社會學的觀點著手分析,以商禽、羅門、林燿德三人的詩作為例,對照現代及後現代社會演變的狀態,從作品中亦探見了這個逐漸廢墟化的世界。 本文分成三個主題析論詩人作品中的廢墟詩境,首先是詩人所揭露造成世界廢墟直接外因的現代戰爭的可怕本質;第二個是詩人對朝向廢墟化演進的人類文明,展開其發展價值的重估;第三個是詩人追索生存在此社會劇烈變動、價值不斷崩解中的現代人精神與肉身變化的意義。 透過對臺灣現代與後現代三位詩人商禽、羅門、林燿德作品的探討,更確認「詩」作為人類歷史中最古老、最原初的文學形式之意義,無論是超現實,還是「第三自然」,即使是常被視為「淺薄」的後現代詩,均能從中獲悉對社會狀況與人類處境的反射與啟示,那或僅是廢墟中的一片碎玻璃,它亦能閃現熠熠光芒。

Modernism literature and post-modern literature are corresponding to the development of modern society and the change of modern life. They refract inevitably different facets of modern and post-modern. They are not only the performance of technology facilities and developed material within modern society.They also refract the whole social environment’s cold , the depletion of human feelings, and modern’s spiritual emptiness and decay, which can be seen in Taiwan modern poetry and post-modern poetry. German Cultural and Artistic critic Walter Benjamin (1892-1940) explained Paul Klee (1879-1940) paintings " Angelus Novus " (1920) pointed out that new angel faced the world’s progress is impossible to resist, only looked at the whole world ruins constantly. It heralds a trend can no longer be reversed for the generations of technological civilization leap forward greatly since the nineteenth century: the world is rapid development, in this while towards the ruins is fast. This study proceed to analysis with the point of view of the sociology of art, take Shang Qin, Lo Men, and Lin Yao-De’s poems as the discussion subjects, compared modern and post-modern society, also discovered that which this world ruins gradually from their works. This article is divided into three themes to analysis the ruins poetic conception of the three poets’ poems. First, poets exposed the terrible nature of the modern warfare which the direct external cause of this world become the ruins. Second, poets revaluated the value of development which the evolution towards the ruins of human civilization. Third, poets recoursed the meanings of the change of modern’s spirit and flesh when they survive in this heavy social change and the value is disintegrating constantly. Through discussed Shang Qin, Lo men, Lin Yao-De’s works of three modern poets and post-modern poets in Taiwan, to confirm meanings of poetry as the oldest and most original literary form in human history. We are informed by poems about the reflection and the revelation of the social situation and the human condition ,whether it is " Surrealism", "Third Nature", even though it is often regarded as depthlessness post-modern poetry. Perhaps it is only a piece of broken glass in the ruins,and it also flashed a gleaming light.
