摘要 在有關旅館產業經濟分析的文獻中,大多著重在觀光業旅館、民 宿或國際觀光飯店市場的競爭程度、經營績效等分析上。然而,至目 前為止尚未有研究何項因素為觀光飯店(或旅館)在市場存續、與其他 飯店旅館繼續競爭的探討。本文利用經濟分析上常用的存續期間模型 探討1998 年至2008 年間台灣國際觀光旅館存續因素。實證結果發現 國際觀光旅館所在區位、經營模式、飯店年齡、市場集中度、營運規 模等因素顯著的影響其在市場中存續決策。 關鍵詞:國際觀光旅館、市場競爭、存續期間模型
Abstract In the relevant documents of hotel industry economic analysis, most of them focus on the market competition and operating performance of tourism hotels, lodges and international tourist hotel. However, so far there has no study about factors to the duration of tourist hotel (or hotel) and how the tourist hotels compete with the others. We hereby apply the model of the duration commonly used in economic analysis to analyze the factors to the duration of the tourist hotel (or hotel) existed in 1998-2008. Our field research demostrates that the following factors have materially affected the duration of Taiwan international tourist hotel: location, business model, hotels age, market concentration, scale of operations..etc. Key words: International Taiwan Hotels, Market Competition, Duration Model
