摘 要
我國之產業結構，由早期勞力密集之製造業逐漸轉向技術密集和資本密集，近年整體經濟體系已朝向知識密集型產業發展。我國產業面對國外競爭對手持續以創新產品競爭下，加強整體生產技術之提昇與發展，不斷的開發新產品，以推陳出新、求新求變的方式刺激市場；或不斷的開發新製程以降低生產成本。因此，在當前競爭激烈的環境中，全球的企業都非常重視研究發展。
高科技產業是近20年來帶動經濟發展最重要的產業，世界各國與地區不但視高科技發展為經濟發展的重要動力，更認為高科技產業進駐落後的區域，可以促進區域均衡發展。由於高科技產業是結合了科技和工程能力，並伴隨著創造大量就業機會的產業 (Malecki, 1989)。因此，高科技產業的發展常被視為一國邁向已開發國家的經濟指標，更是推動一國未來經濟發展最重要的原動力，高科技產業的研究因此十分重要（Glasmeier, 1986）。
本研究主要探討研究發展對高科技產業的經營績效與公司市場價值之關聯，採OLS 最小平方法迴歸分析，針對國內上市櫃公司1999年至2007年之研發強度≧2%之 218 家公司，分析其研究發展活動與經營績效間及公司價值之關聯性。

研究目的有二：
(1)對於高科技產業，研究發展是否對高科技產業的經營績效具有關聯。
(2)對於高科技產業，研究發展是否對高科技產業的公司價值具有關聯。

研究結果發現：
(1)研究發展的投入，對於高科技產業之經營績效存在正向貢獻。
(2)研究發展的投入，對於高科技產業之公司價值存在正向貢獻。

Abstract
The main stream in Taiwanese economy is the knowledge-concentrated industry. The core of the industry is the research and development (R&D) activity. With the intense competition in this industry, all Taiwanese enterprises raised up the higher density of R&D activity.

This study attempts to exam the impact of R&D expenditure on corporate performance and corporate value. Empirical research examines 218 companies listed on TEJ by using OLS regression analysis.

The purposes of this study are to exam two issues.
(1) Does the R&D have a positive contribution to high-tech industry’s corporate performance.
(2) Does the R&D have a positive contribution to high-tech industry’s corporate value.

The results of this study show that R&D expenditure has a significant positive ontribution to High-Tech industry’s corporate performance and corporate value.
