本研究的目的在於建構「在信用交易以及通路權力轉變的條件」下，零售商的經濟生產批量 (Economic Production Quantity; EPQ)。Chung and Huang (2003) 修改了Goyal (1985) 的零售商在信用交易前提假設下之經濟訂購批量 (Economic Order Quantity; EOQ) 的模型，其以EPQ的觀點出發，建構了零售商在信用交易前提下之經濟生產政策。當時Chung and Huang (2003) 在符合一般實務狀況的前提下，保留了「利息支出的利率會大於收入的利率」這條假設。
然而近年來在通路權力結構和外幣存貸款興起等外在條件逐漸轉變的影響之下，利息支出的利率與收入的利率之間已經沒有絕對的相對大小，利息支出的利率大於收入的利率這項前提假設已經不符合實務狀況。本研究以Chung and Huang (2003) 的模型為基礎，放寬利息支出的利率大於收入的利率的限制。經過「建立成本函數模型、利用導函數確認最佳解、確認最適訂購政策」等的研究程序，以決定廠商的EPQ政策。最後本研究依敏感度分析的結果，找出各變數影響成本函數的程度，分辨其重要性，並提出管理上的意涵，進而建議企業處理的優先順序。

Abstract
Chung and Huang (2003) modified Goyal (1985), discusses the economic production quantity (EPQ) under conditions of permissible delay in payments. An implicit assumption of Chung and Huang (2003) is that interest expense is greater than interest income.
Recently, channel power structure as well as the rise of foreign currency deposits and loans gradually change. It has no absolute relative between interest expense and interest income. This research based on Chung and Huang (2003) to extend the EPQ model. When there has no absolute relationship between interest expense and interest income, Chung and Huang (2003) will be a special case of this general solution.
