摘要


本研究針對身心障礙者使用電腦時,較常用的功能進行整合,相較於市面上多數的輔具,多為專注於特定、單一需求而設計,提供屬於身心障礙者適用的通用性之電腦輔具裝置。 將鍵盤及滑鼠整合至一複合性裝置中,利用液晶螢幕及觸控面板將以往的實體按鍵虛擬化,藉此在相容尺寸的面積下,容納更多的按鍵。 我們改以方向鍵的方式控制滑鼠游標,使用者只需要點擊,無需對滑鼠游標進行拖曳,使得手部對於拖曳行為有困難的使用者,經由本系統也能輕鬆操作電腦。 除了觸控鍵盤之外,針對重度行動困難的使用者,另外發展出掃描模式,利用計時器不斷變更液晶螢幕上的選取標的,再以開關輸入發送選取信號,使用者不需要移動手指去尋找按鍵,只需要以開關輸入作確認動作即可,就算使用者只能進行簡單的點頭、眨眼行為,也可以利用此模式操作電腦。

In this study, the common functions of computer input devices are integrated in the proposed computer assistive input system. Compared to other assistive devices which are designed for a specific need, the proposed system is developed to cater for generic disability needs. The keyboard and the mouse were integrated into a single composite device, whereby the LCD and the touch panel were used to implement the virtual input devices. By doing so, more keys can be accommodated in a small area. We use arrow keys to displace the mouse cursor instead of using the conventional drag method. The modifications allow a person with a hand disability to operate the keyboard and the mouse in a different but easier manner. A scan mode function is also incorporated into the touch style keyboard to assist heavily disabled users. Keys are periodically scanned by reversing its color as the candidate to be inputted. The users can select the desired key by activating a switch when it is shown as the candidate. With the system, people with disabilities can use the computer easily.
