In this study, a practical Taiwanese semiconductor assembly and testing manufacturer is illustrated, aiming at the three major bottleneck manufacturing processes, including die bond (DB), wire bond (WB), and molding (MD), to discuss how to use the finite resources to achieve the best capacity allocation. Considering the optimal total profit, the medium-term capacity allocation planning model is developed, so as to satisfy the promised volume demanded by customers and obtain the best migration decision among production lines for machines and tools. Finally, sensitivity analysis based on the actual case is provided for exploring the impact of different levels of parameters.
