The optimal selection of green product design element is a kind of multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem, which requires considering large number of complex factors as multiple evaluation criteria. The purpose of this paper is to present an integrated approach for selection green product design element decisions in the manufacturing industry. First, the experts are chosen to conduct the analytic structure construction for green product design elements selection by identifying criteria and green elements that can benefit environment and competitive advantage for manufacturing firms. Second, applies the Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) approach to construct interrelations and build a network structure among criteria that are green product requirement. Finally, the criteria weights are obtained through Analytic Network Process (ANP), which choose the applicable green product. Therefore, the main contribution of this paper is to help manufacturing industry’s managers to effectively the selection of green product design elements through the approach more logically and to make decisions fit in with the reality.
