台灣動物用藥品商關鍵成功要素、領導風格和經營策略之研究

Study on Key Success Factors, Leadership Styles, and Business Strategies of Animal Medicine Companies in Taiwan

摘要


台灣畜牧業飼養頭數逐年減少,又受藥物殘留限制和飼養成本提高使動物藥品使用量逐漸減少,造成動物藥品市場萎縮,而動物藥品公司又不斷增加,使企業競爭愈趨激烈,而且企業經營風險提高,因此企業經營應提昇自我競爭優勢、高階主管應用適當的領導方式和選擇較佳的經營策略,才能在動物用藥品產業中永續經營。 本研究以動物藥品業者為訪談對象,分析結果後發現在受訪的動物藥品廠商之關鍵成功要素不可言傳性越高,其持久競爭優勢越高;不可移轉性越高,其持久競爭優勢也越高。在高階主管的領導風格方面,轉換型領導相較於交易型領導,對於員工生產效率提升的正向影響程度較高;轉換型領導和交易型領導,對於服務品質提升均具有正向影響;轉換型領導相較於交易型領導,對於產品或服務創新提升的正向影響程度較高,對於整體工作表現的正向影響提升亦較大。在高階主管的特質研究方面發現,工作年資和相關工作經驗年資的多寡,對策略的選擇上並無差異;但高階主管的教育程度越高或功能背景為相關科系者,選擇集中化策略增加經營績效的程度較高。

Number of livestock is decreasing year by year in Taiwan. The limit of drug residues and the increasing of farm production cost have reduced the use of animal medicine gradually. They were shrinking the market of animal medicine. Moreover, the number of animal medicine companies is increasing continually. It results the competition increasing in the industry. And the risk of business is increasing to the companies. Therefore, the companies should enhance their competitive advantage, use appropriate leadership by top executive, and select the better business strategy for their sustainable business. In this study, I have been interviewed the top executives of animal medicine companies. The results show the companies got higher sustainable competitive advantage when they have high unspeakable of their key success factors. They also got it, when the key success factors with high non-transferability. For the leadership style of top executives, there is higher degree of increasing workers’ production efficiency by the transformational leadership compared to the transactional leadership. Both transformational and transactional leaderships can improve the service quality of workers. The increasing of product or service innovation of workers is higher by the transformational leadership compared to the transactional leadership. The increasing of overall performance of workers is also higher. The characteristics research of top executives shows there is same business strategy for the executives with different years of working and the years of relevant work experience. But the top executive who with higher the education level or with related functional background is prefer focus strategy for their business.
