人口老化是全世界各先進國家面臨的重要社會議題之ㄧ。而我國不僅面臨戰後嬰兒潮人口即將邁入老年,尚有少子化雙重壓力,更加速人口老化現象。 老化增加長期照顧需求、少子化造成照顧人力不足。我國主要長期照顧資源仍來自於家庭,但內政部(1999年)調查資料顯示,老人入住長期照護機構有逐年上升之趨勢。根據各國長期照顧體系發展經驗,民眾對各種長期照顧服務的價值觀與態度是十分重要的參考資料。故希冀藉由本研究暸解我國中高齡長者選擇長期照護機構之相關影響因素,以提供我國機構式照護發展及需求之參考。 本研究乃利用國民健康局『2003 年台灣地區中老年身心社會狀況長期追蹤調查』次級資料,探討影響其入住機構意願之因素。結果發現影響中高齡長者入住長期照護機構之因素為50-64歲、無配偶者、教育程度為國中、高中、大專以上者、現存無子女或僅有1~2位子女、經濟滿意度較好、罹患心臟病者、自覺健康狀況不好者,其入住長期照護機構之可能性較高。
The aging of population is one of the important social subjects which each advanced country faces. In our country not only faces postwar baby boom population will soon enter into the old age, but still has the pressure of low birth rate, accelerates the aging of population phenomenon. The aging increases the long-term attendance demand, and the low birth rate causes the attendance manpower to be insufficient. In our country, main long-term attendance resources still come from the family, but the Ministry of Interior (in 1999) investigated the material to demonstrate that elderly people in long-term care institutions have a rising trend year by year. According to various countries' long-term care system development experience, the populace to each kind of long-term care service's values and the attitudes are the very important references. We hope by this research to understand elderly people in the choice of long-term care institution related factors, to provide the reference of our institutional care and development. This research uses the National Healthy Bureau "in 2003 the Taiwan area middle and old age body and mind society condition long-term tracing investigation" the secondary material, to discuss the influent factors that the elderly people want to live into long tern care institutions. The results showed that affect the elderly to live in elderly long-term care institutions, the factors for the 50-64 years old, without a spouse, level of education above high school or college, existing with no children or only one or two children, economic satisfaction more well, suffering from heart disease, poor perceived health status, its long-term care institutions in the possibility of higher.
