Two Species of Echthrogaleus (Copepoda: Siphonostomatoida: Pandaridae) Parasitic on Five Species of Sharks off the East Coast of Taiwan

摘要

在臺灣東岸捕獲的鯊魚上，發現到兩種屬於吸管口目、將魚虱科橈足類的寄生。分別為寄生於尖吻鯖鯊（Isurus oxyrinchus Rafinisque, 1810）、短尾真鯊[Carcharhinus brachyurus（Günther, 1870）]與鋸峰齒鯊[Prionace glauca （Linnaeus, 1758）]上的Echthrogaleus coleoptratus（Guérin-Méneville, 1837）；以及寄生在淺海狐鯊（Alopias pelagicus Nakamura, 1935）與深海狐鯊（A. superciliosus Lowe, 1841）兩種鯊魚上的新種：E. asiaticus sp. nov.；其中短尾真鯊是E. coleoptratus的新記錄宿主。本篇報告將討論並確定E. pellucidus Shiino, 1963的有效性，以及Pillai（1985）在印度、Ho與Kim（1996）在日本發現的E. denticulatus，應為本篇新種的同種異名。

Two species of pandarid copepods (Siphonostomatoida: Pandaridae) parasitic on sharks off the east coast of Taiwan are reported. They are Echthrogaleus coleoptratus (Guérin-Méneville, 1837) from three species of sharks: the shortfin mako Isurus oxyrinchus Rafinisque, 1810, the copper shark Carcharhinus brachyurus (Günther, 1870), and the blue shark Prionace glauca (Linnaeus, 1758) and Echthrogaleus asiaticus sp. nov. from two species of thresher sharks: the pelagic thresher Alopias pelagicus Nakamura, 1935 and the bigeye thresher A. superciliosus Lowe, 1841. The copper shark C. brachyurus is a new host record for E. coleoptratus. It is discussed and concluded that Echthrogalleus pellucidus Shiino, 1963 is a valid species and both ”Echthrogaleus denticulatus” reported by Pillai (1985) from India and by Ho and Kim (1996) from Japan are synonymous with the new species.
