Coccidohystrix insolita (Green) was newly recorded from Taiwan for the first time. In this study, morphological characters for the species identification were illustrated. Besides, listed synonyms, host plants, natural enemies and geography distributions are included. The slide-mounted voucher specimens were deposited in the Insect and Mite Museum, Division of Applied Zoology, TARI and Research for Plant Medicine, National Pingtung University.
