Serious Leisure and Information Behaviors of Older Adults

摘要

臺灣人口老他速度快，已進入高齡化社會，加上周休二日實施，休閒意識抬頭，透過休閒參與可以幫助人們得到正面效益。而學者史特賓斯於1982年提出深度休閒概念，銀髮族可能是最有時間參與深度休閒的族群，整理深度休閒相關文獻發現深度休閒能為銀髮族帶來正面效益，並歸納銀髮族參與深度休閒所涉及的資訊行為，包括資訊需求、影響資訊行為因素、資訊尋求管道等。最後，建議政府、圖書館及相關團體能透過銀髮族資訊行為進一步檢視銀髮族相關服務，並且注重深度休閒資訊的重要性。

With its population aging fast, Taiwan has entered the aging society. After two-day weekend being effective, the rise of leisure awareness stimulates participation in leisure activities, which can help people get positive benefits. In 1982 Stebbins brought out the concept ＂serious leisure＂, in which older adults may have more time to spend. Drawing from literature and relevant research, the article explores what benefits serious leisure can bring to older adults, and concludes the characteristics of older adults' information behaviors, including information needs, affecting factors, information seeking channels, etc. To close, it is suggested that the government, libraries and relevant corporate bodies should further examine their related services through understanding older adults' information behaviors, and face up to the issue of serious leisure information for older adults.
