手側化量表之初步探索性因素分析

Preliminary Exploratory Factor Analysis of a Handedness Inventory

摘要


本研究的主要目的為了解手側化量表的建構效度,以調查研究與因素分析做為主要的研究與統計方法。研究者發展調查慣用手傾向的量表,並以台北市某小學附設幼稚園大班至小學五年級的所有學童為對象進行調 查。為避免研究偏誤,排除資優與障礙兒童資料後,共獲得348筆資料。研究者首先進行題項分析以刪除不適當題項,最後共有22題項進入因素分析歷程。研究者以主成分分析法抽取共同因素後採用正交轉軸的最大變異法,獲得兩因素,暫時分別命名為單步驟與多步驟活動。同時,手側化量表也具備滿意的表面效度、重測信度、兒童自評與家長評量一致性、與內部一致性。

The purpose of this study was to establish the construct validity of a handedness inventory developed by the researchers. Psychometric study was conducted through survey research and factor analysis. Children aged 5- to 11-years from one primary school in Taipei City were screened for inclusion to the study. In order to reduce study bias, suspected exceptional children and those with disabilities were excluded. Data obtained from the remaining 385 children were analyzed. The item analysis was conducted and the inappropriate items were deleted. This resulted in an inventory that contained 22 items. Factor analysis was then carried out using the principle components analysis with varimax orthogonal rotation. The analysis yielded two factors, namely one-step activity and multi-steps activity. The handedness inventory was also equipped with satisfactory surface validity, test-retest reliability, parent-child consistency, and internal consistency. The results provided evidence for psychometric soundness of the inventory as used in school children.
