The Difference of Personality between Military Pilots and Foreign Pilots

摘要

There are three researches in this chapter. Research one estabilished norms of 16PF test. One population is 340 military pilots, the other is 520 foreign pilots. After collecting the raw scores and transfering by the standard grade procedure, received the norms of these two types of pilots. These norms were in use form January 1996.
Research two discusses the differences of military pilots career and foreign pilots in 16 PF test. The subjects are 135 military pilots and 135 foreign pilots. After collecting the raw scores of 16PF test, we examine the profiles of military pilots and foreign pilots. The result shows that 14 personality factors are difference except M factor (bohemianism) and Q3 factor (compulsivity) no matter in comparing military pilots norm or foreign pilots norm.
Research three discusses the differences of the profiles made by army, navy and air force. The subjects are 48 come from army, 15 come from navy and 410 come from air force. The result shows that personality is difference in C factor (ego strength) among these three military types.
