本院學生學業成就與家庭社經背景、成就動機及學習態度關係之研究

Family Background, Learning Motivation and Attitude, and Their Relation to Academic Performance or Military Academy Students-A Case Study of NDMC

摘要


本文旨在探討影響本院學生學業成就之各項因素,並研究各項因素之關係。文中就正期生與專科生分別從:(一)家庭社社經背景,(二)成就動機,(三)學習態度與(四)行為適應等變數來探討其差異與相互關係。統計方法採變異數分析、多元迴歸、逐步迴歸及因徑分析等。實證的重要發現:(一)專科與正期生皆來自相似之家庭,(二)成就動機方面, 正期生高於專科生,(三)學習態度方面,專科生與正期生並無顯著差異,但專科乙班優於甲班,(四)行為適應方面,正期生適應力優於專科生,(六)影響學業成就的各項因素,專科生依次為:智力、成就動機、學習態度;而正期生則為:學習態度與行為適應。

The NDMC presently consists of 2 categories of cadets: 4 years and 2 years. The 2 years cadets are further differentiated into class A and class B. What this study attempts to examine are the similarities and dissimilarities among these different categories of cadets based on the following criterion:1.Family, social and economic categories,2, motivation,3. learning attitude,4. adjustment behavior.The statistic methods employed include variance analysis, multiple regression, stepwise regression and path analysis.The study results indicate that in terms of family background, there are no significant differences between 2 year and 4 year cadets. But in terms of motivation and learning attitude, 4 year cadets scored much higher than their 2 year peers. The 4 year cadets also seemed to have developed better adjustment mechanisms. Finally, given their differences in degrees of motivation, the factors affecting 4 year and 2 year cadet motivation were also different.
