This study employs observation method and in-depth interviews to explore the use of Taiwan history digital archives by graduate students of history. Research results show that graduate students of history have extensive needs for research resources, while certain historical data cannot be easily accessed. Bibliographies and information from their peers and teachers are the main sources of research information for graduate students of history. In addition, graduate students of history are accustomed to using electronic resources. Keyword searching and information browsing according to classifications are the main ways they adopt to seek research data. Moreover, graduate students of history assume a positive attitude toward digital archives, even though they may have difficulties finding and acquiring some digital archives. They tend to apply digital archives from specific institutions and prefer acquiring original images for their research. Based on the research results obtained from this study, some recommendations are proposed for future reference.
