This research paper provides an overview of some trends in general education reform from international, national, and institutional levels and explores institutional strategies to facilitate the shift to general education. Eventually, through benchmarking and a comparative perspective, this article intends to provide a framework for academic planners to analyze and integrate various approaches to general education.
