摘要
臨床上，碰到下背痛之病人，一般都會做straight-leg-raising test，當角度有受限時，通常將其歸咎于椎間盤之病變。但兩者間是否有絕對之關係？本報告研究了五個病例，加上國外之文獻收集，望期對此一問題，做進一步之探討。

A positive unilateral straight-leg-raising sign is routinely interpreted as indicative of a disc lesion. A review of the literature was undertaken in an attempt to more clearly illustrate the mechanisms and results of the straight-leg-raising test. It was found that a positive straight-leg-raising test has minimal value in differentiating a patient with herniated disc from other patients with low back pain and sciatica.
