從攻城到突圍：一位邊緣教師之生命史敘說研究

摘要

代課教師是學校主流文化下的邊緣少數，職場結構的限制使得他們的生涯發展顯得曲折艱困。本文採生命史敘說研究，請一位歷經代課13年才取得正式教職的教師來敘說教師生涯故事。文題以「圍城」譬喻各式「教師生涯場域」，「攻城」隱喻進場不易，「突圍」則指勉力突破困境的作為。本文首先呈現參與者在成為正式教師前後各式「攻城」與「突圍」的生命故事；其次，討論各式學校文化結構下教師主體性的行動抉擇、析解自我概念中自卑與自尊的交相糾結，加以反思此生命故事對於自我生命的意義與啟示，包括「外在表象與內在自我存在著落差」、「煩惱悲哀為人生常態」、「得失互現、珍惜所有」、「寬恕體諒、包容自在」等；並對生命史敘說研究的各項議題，進行方法論的討論；最後省悟「照見自我」、「重新活出生命」為生命史敘說研究之獨具價值。

The substitute teachers are the marginal minority beside the master culture in schools. The restriction of occupational structure made their career development bumpy and hard. A narrative inquiry of a teacher' life history who had been a substitute teacher over 13 years was adopted. The topic was a metaphor to lend the sense of struggling with the careers. The study described the life stories of 'attacking cities' and 'sallying out' in the process of becoming and being a teacher, discussed the meanings about culture, psychology and life, and explored the methodological issues of the narrative inquiry. The study also validated the unique value of narrative inquiry of life history which was the reflection of self and relive of self.
