In this study, a LISREL (Linear Structure Relationships) model was applied to analyze visitors' recreational satisfaction in the Shanping Forest Ecological Scientific Garden. Results of the study show that, among all factors investigated, the factor 'Recreation impact' has the highest negative influence on visitors' recreational satisfaction. This implies that visitors' recreational satisfaction will decrease as their cognition of recreational impact increases. 'Environment & facilities'is also an important factor showing that visitors' recreational satisfaction will be enhanced when their cognition of the environment & facilities increases. Compared to 'Recreation impact' and 'Environment & facilities', the 'Uniqueness' and 'Interpretation service' factors show a lesser influence on visitors' recreational satisfaction. The results suggest that interpretation services and popularization should be improved to enhance the garden's environmental and ecological education functions in the future.
