重視身體意象之社會建構對於服務肥胖少年之實務意涵

摘要

本文屬綜合論述之文章，是從社會建構的角度解析社會對身體意象的建構。身體意象不僅影響少年對身體的認知，也影響其感覺及後續行為。本文經由文獻回顧的方式，提供身體意象之社會建構、身體意象之傳遞媒介，身體意象對減重行為之影響等論述，最後是提供具體建議給醫療服務提供者和衛生教育者等實務工作者參考。本文除了希望實務工作者能重視身體意象對少年自我認知和健康行為的影響外，也希望他們能積極建構正確的身體意象，供少年學習，並教導少年對抗媒體傳遞的不當身體意象。

The purpose of this literature review is to highlight the impact of body image on the perception and emotion that adolescents held toward their body. Body image is clearly a social construction and has strong social basis. This paper includes the review of the social construction of body image, the transition of body image through media, the impact of body image on dieting behavior and health behavior, and the implication for practice. Professionals in medicine as well as in health education should pay more attentions to the influence of body image on adolescents’ health and self-perception. We also strongly urge that they should take the responsibility to construct an appropriate body image for adolescent and teach adolescents how to reject those incorrect body images portrayed in mass media.
