Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is often associated with cardiac arrhythmias including serious ventricular arrhythmias. We describe a male patient who presented with headache and sudden cardiac arrest in our emergency department. During resuscitation the initial electrocardiographic (EKG) recording showed pulseless ventricular tachycardia (VT). Computed tomography scans of his brain after stabilization revealed SAH. Previous literatures were reviewed and the possible mechanisms were discussed.
