Body image disturbance and low self-esteem could take place when a patient perceived his body figure changed by a disease or treatment and the great difference between real-self and idea-self. Following the steps developed by Walker and Avant (2005), the concept analysis of body image disturbance was proceeded. The aims of concept analysis of body image disturbance were to clarify the definition, to determine the defining attributes with model case and additional cases, to identify antecedents and consequences, and to list the instrument. The results were expected to help nurses understand the concept of body image disturbance deeply and use strategies to assist patients reconstructing positive body image.
