摘要


非對稱式數位用戶迴路(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line,簡稱ADSL)接取網路利用現有的雙絞銅線,在不變更接取線路的前提下,即可提供非對稱性的高傳輸速率,由於其速率是傳統語音撥接接取網路的數十倍,因此極適合作為高頻寬需求之多媒體傳輸。本論文除了介紹架設一ADSL接取網路之程序外,並對其網路轉址、過濾以及傳輸速率等項目進行測試,以充分瞭解其功能與實際運作之效能。本論文以SmartBits智慧型多埠網路效能分析器進行測試,由結果得知較大的訊框對ADSL接取網路之上傳產出及訊框遺失率等效能指標有較佳的表現。由所量測得到的傳輸效能顯示ADSL接取網路確實具備高頻寬需求之輸能力,加上網路轉址與過濾等附加功能,極適合作為新一代的寬頻傳輸媒體。

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) access network provides asymmetric and high transmission rate by utilizing the existing twisted copper pair without modification of the access lines. Since its transmission rate is much higher than traditional dial-up network, it quite fits the requirement of the transmission of broadband multimedia. This paper introduces the procedures to establish an ADSL access network, and tests the functionalities of Network Address Translate (NA T), filtering, and transmission rate. The experiment results show the larger frame size for ADSL access network results in better performance of upstream throughput and frame lose rate. With the measured transmission performance it shows ADSL access network actually has the ability for broadband transmission. Plus the functionalities of NA T and filtering it is suitable for the next generation broadband transmission media.
