遊走於東南亞文化-大學生多元文化觀的詮釋與改變

Floating among Southeastern Cultures-Analyzing the Interpretation and Transformation of College Student's Multicultural Viewpoints

摘要


本研究目的在於探討大學生多元文化觀念的成長與改變,經由大學通識課程「文化歧異性-東南亞文化導論」的參與投入,進而剖析大學生多元文化觀念的成長與改變。本課程的上課是採取講演、課堂講授、分組討論報告及網路互動平台建立等方式進行,共有111位學生修讀該課程,經由課程內容的提供與薰陶,並聚焦於新移民家庭主題的探討,再透過網路互動平台上學生對種族、性別與東南亞文化議題的討論,進而產生對多元文化的理解與詮釋。本研究的分析將以大學生對新移民女性與多元文化的理解,進一步能展現關懷與尊敬,並能身體力行到實踐的層面。於修課歷程中,學生會著重新移民女性在台灣的生活,並主動關懷「多元文化」議題,認為多元文化的產生來自於「生活方式」的差異,而且不同的生活環境產生不同的風俗習慣,在這個多元創新的時代裡,透過省思與討論,學生秉持著尊重與欣賞的態度面對不同文化的差異,大家應該彼此學習尊重、欣賞不同文化的特色,進而消除對族群文化的偏見與歧視。

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the transformation and change for college students' multicultural viewpoints in a curriculum of ”A cultural diversity-the introduction of southeastern culture”. Lecture, speech, group discussion, internet discussion were conducted in this course. One hundred and eleven students participated in this course. Ethnics, race, gender, social status, international marriage, and southeastern cultures were main themes of course content. The aim of this course was to cultivate the college students' multicultural understanding and the annotation. The research analysis was emphasized the immigrant females' living and multicultural understanding, as well as showing the caring and respects for the immigrant female families, and then to set as practice action. During the course, student showed empathy for new immigration female in Taiwan's life, and initiative concern multicultural issues. They pointed out the multicultural viewpoints based on the various life styles. Moreover, the diversity living conditions had various manners and customs. By the reflection and discussion, students cultivated a respecting and the appreciation manner facing various cultural differences. Everybody should express their respect and the appreciation for different culture characteristic, then eliminate to the culture prejudice and the discrimination.
