病例報告:紅外線熱像儀檢測圈養瓶鼻海豚(Tursiops Truncatus)體表溫度之臨床應用

Case Report: Clinical Application of Thermal Imaging in Captive Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncatus)

摘要


熱像檢查可快速地提供準確客觀的溫度資料,協助疾病診斷、治療及預後,且不具侵入性。本研究之目的為評估紅外線熱像檢查於圈養瓶鼻海豚之臨床應用。本報告四個病例其中兩個為肉眼無法發現異常,但熱像檢查出現異常的例子,另兩個為肉眼觀察發現異常,治療期間肉眼觀察無明顯改變,但熱像檢查恢復正常早於肉眼觀察症狀消失,因此可以熱像檢測評估治療成效。本研究顯示熱像檢查可應用於海豚此類水生動物,為一種有效且方便的臨床影像學診斷工具,可確實標明其炎症範圍,協助臨床獸醫師密切關注疾病及其治療的進展。

Thermography, a noninvasive diagnostic method, can rapidly document heat related to diseases and be helpful in disease diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. In this study, infrared thermography was assessed in clinical application in captive bottlenose dolphins. There were four cases reported. Two were that abnormal thermogram was noticed without any abnormality in visual observation. The other two were that the thermogram turned back to normal before normal condition of skin was observed during treatment. This study showed that thermography can be applied as an efficient and convenient clinically diagnostic imaging method in dolphins. Thermography describes the inflammation or active infection, and this information can allow the clinician to prevent more serious injury and begin rapid adjustment of therapy.
