We reviewed the articles about the issues of nurses’ intention to stay. The shortage of nurses staff is one of the most common problems in every hospital all over the world. To deal with this problem, nursing administrators should consider how to keep excellent nurses to work on. The purpose of this article was to discuss the factors, including personal attributes, working and organizational features, that influenced nurses’ intention to stay on. There were some strategies that can increase nurses’ intention to stay on, such as increasing empowerment, innovative communication, on job training and so on. Nursing administrators should pay attention to developing strategies to stabilize nursing workforces as to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productiveness, quality of health care services, and decrease the cost of hospitals.
