This study was to investigate the effect of modified aircraft windshields with visors on the luminous transmittance and the visual acuity for pilots. The study adopted the randomized complete block design with two factors of experiment method. The two factors were windshields and visors. Fourteen subjects were tested for these factors and their interaction. The experimental results demonstrated that the visual performance had no significant reduction by ANOVA when viewing through the modified windshield materials with visors. This report conformed that the four modified windshield materials could be satisfied with the visual performance and aircraft windshield transparencies.
