To Investigate COVID-19 From Traditional Chinese Medicine Perspective

摘要

2019年冠狀病毒疾病（COVID-19）對全球造成嚴重影響，我國借鑒對抗嚴重急性呼吸道症候群（SARS）的經驗成功控制疫情。本文從COVID-19病毒學和臨床表現切入，發現其符合傳統中醫經典描述，可以歸納為「濕毒邪」所致疾病，依據病程發展之差異，致使寒熱性質各有所偏重。另外，亦透過溫病學、傷寒學角度整理病程轉變、病位病機、中醫治則、用方及針灸治療。最後，注重環境衛生、健康保健以提高免疫力亦扮演重要角色，符合「聖人不治已病，治未病」的理念。台灣中醫師參與COVID-19治療，配合西醫治療，能有效提高治癒率、減少病程轉重危症的機率同時降低死亡率。

The 2019 COVID-19 pandemic had a significant global impact, and our country successfully controlled it by applying lessons from the SARS outbreak. This article explores COVID-19 from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective, identifying it as a "Cold- Dampness Pestilence " disease. It also discusses treatment principles and acupuncture therapy using Wen Bing theory and Shang Han Lun. The article emphasizes the importance of environmental hygiene and health maintenance to boost immunity, following the concept of prevention rather than cure. In Taiwan, involving certified Chinese medicine practitioners alongside Western medicine treatment has increased recovery rates, reduced severe cases, and lowered mortality rates in COVID-19 treatment.
