Analysis on Effects and Strategies of Conservation Workshops at the National Science and Technology Museum

摘要

本文以國立科學工藝博物館（以下簡稱科工館）2010年－2012年舉辦的三期文物維護工作坊為例，進行文物維護工作坊之執行策略與效益分析，並試圖檢視學員工作坊參與蒐藏文物維護的成果。本文回顧臺灣歷年來文物維護工作坊的發展與影響，並結合文物維護的計畫擬定與修復執行，記錄學員在工作坊期間修護文物的過程，擬定工作坊執行策略並分析其效益。分析結果顯示，科技博物館因蒐藏面向廣泛，可經由綜合性人才招募與培訓等課程，吸收不同專業的技術人員擔任維護志工，並藉由課程的開放、修復後文物的展演等活動，補足修復人力與活化科技博物館的文物，在效益上除了可節省館所之人力成本，也可以提高修護志工的修護知能素養，增進修護人才的培訓。

This paper took an overview of conservation workshops in Taiwan and surveyed three conservation workshops which were held from 2010 to 2012 at the National Science and Technology Museum. The results showed that these conservation workshops not only attracted people who have different skills and backgrounds to attend, but also helped them to equip relevant skills to do conservation works. Besides, the museum also benefitted from the participants' practical works on preserving objects which not only saved the costs of human resources, but also help the participated volunteers to have practical knowledge of conservation works.
